Reverse Light Switch
We have installed a lot of extra lights on our MOG. On the back, there are two 12V lights with rubber housings, wired in series. There is a switch on the dash to turn these on, it can be very handy to be able to see behind you well at night, like trying to back into a good camping spot!!! It is also convenient to have the lights turn on automatically when the transmission is in reverse.
There is a momentary push button switch mounted to a tab of steel bolted to the transmission housing. When the forward/reverse lever is in reverse, the lever pushes on the switch, turning on the backup lights. We've had a little trouble with getting the steel tab adjusted just right, but when it is working, this solution works very well.
